Trainees

If you’re a Japanese student, you will need an excellent result at a law school and to have passed the bar exam.

Willingness to learn English is a must, as the work that you will be focusing on will be complex and generally international in focus.

Japanese law students will be able to apply to work with us through our Japanese web pages.

If you are studying in the US, UK or another common law jurisdiction, you will need to apply for a traineeship on our US or UK schemes. If successful in gaining a training contract you may have the opportunity to work in Tokyo as part of your rotation. With our numerous global hubs of expertise, it goes without saying that international opportunities are never far from your reach.
