Linklaters advises VION on sale of Tatiara Meat to Swift Australia

Dutch VION Food Group (VION) sells Tatiara Meat Company (TMC) to Swift Australia, a subsidiary of Brazilian JBS S.A.

TMC with its seat in Bordertown in the Australian state of South Australia is a subsidiary of Germany-based A. Moksel AG which in turn is a member of VION. The acquisition is subject to approval by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.

VION, an international food group with production and sales branches on all continents and more than 31,000 employees worldwide has most recently generated a turnover of €9.6 billion.

TMC is a high-quality lamb processing business supplying the high-end market segment in the USA, Canada and Europe.

JBS is the world’s largest meat processing company with branches in Brazil, Argentina, Italy, the USA and Australia.
