Linklaters advises LBBW on the sale of its private banking business in Luxembourg

As of 1 January 2011, DekaBank Deutsche Girozentrale Luxembourg S.A. will take over LBBW Luxembourg S.A.’s private banking business. DekaBank won an auction following Landesbank Baden-Württemberg’s (LBBW) invitation to tender for its Luxembourg private banking business. The sale was due to respective requirements imposed by the European Commission.

A Linklaters team led by Dr Wolfgang Krauel (corporate/M&A, Munich) and Dr Rainer Stadler (tax, Munich) provided LBBW with comprehensive advice on the transaction.
