Linklaters has advised Alshaya – a leading international retail franchise operator - on its acquisition of La Senza’s UK operations. The deal, which was announced yesterday (9 January 2012) involved the purchase of 60 stores and more than 1,100 employees, via a pre-pack acquisition that was agreed with KPMG, the administrators of the La Senza UK business.
The Linklaters team was led by corporate partner Nick Garland and managing associate David Martin from its Abu Dhabi office, and restructuring partner David Ereira, in London.
Alshaya’s internal legal team was led by General Counsel David Bligh-Smith.
