Linklaters announces that Simon Davies has been appointed as the next Firmwide Managing Partner until 30 June 2012. He will be based in London.
Simon joined Linklaters in London in 1990 and became a partner in 1999, based in Hong Kong then Tokyo. David Cheyne, Linklaters' Senior Partner, said:
“Simon has been heavily involved in the development and implementation of our strategy in recent years. During his term as Asia Managing Partner, Linklaters has increasingly won recognition as the leading international firm in the region. Given his significant management skills and experience, Simon is ideally placed to build on the remarkable progress the firm has made under Tony’s leadership, from being an English law firm with international offices to becoming the leading global law firm.”
Simon Davies said:
“I am delighted and honoured to have been appointed Firmwide Managing Partner to succeed Tony. I look forward to building on the outstanding success of the firm and ensuring that our clients receive the highest quality service throughout the world and our people the greatest opportunity to develop.”
