Linklaters launches Competition/Antitrust practice in Italy
27 March 2009
Linklaters is moving one of its most senior competition managing associates, Andrea Zulli, from London to Milan to lead the firm’s Italian competition practice. He will be based in the firm’s Milan office from 1 May 2009.
Andrea brings to Italy extensive experience in all aspects of competition law and works closely with a number of leading Italian and global players to support them on complex Italian and EU antitrust and merger control matters.
With Italy being a well-known jurisdiction for its active antitrust enforcement as evidenced by its long-established enforcement record, the need for specialised and market-leading advice in this area has never been greater.
Andrea Arosio, Linklaters’ Managing Partner in Italy, said:
“Andrea’s move to launch the Italian competition practice comes as a direct response to client demand. Competition law is increasingly influencing critical aspects of corporate and commercial strategy and with significant growth in the Milan corporate practice over the past two years, it is now more important than ever to provide clients with competition expertise on the ground in Italy.”
Gerwin Van Gerven, Linklaters’ Global Head of Competition/Antitrust, said:
“Linklaters is committed to providing clients with a truly global and market-leading competition practice. Andrea’s move will help us to consolidate and further strengthen our position as a leading competition practice in Europe and to deliver a consistently excellent service to our clients globally.”
