Linklaters appoints Peter Hickman as Chief Financial Officer

Linklaters announces the appointment of Peter Hickman as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He will join the firm on 9 February 2009.
Peter will sit on the firm's Executive Committee, which is chaired by the firmwide managing partner and is responsible for the management of the firm. As CFO, he will be responsible for the overall financial management of the firm.
Peter joins the firm from HBOS. Before this, he was a partner for eight years at Ernst & Young, in its financial services practice. He has extensive experience of leading a large group finance function and conducting a variety of audits with major financial institutions.
Peter replaces Nick Heywood-Waddington, who retired from Linklaters on 31 December 2008.
