Linklaters has appointed Naiara Rodríguez-Escudero, until now managing associate in charge of Linklaters’ employment practice in Madrid, as the new Counsel of the firm for employment related matters. Said appointment will become effective from 1st May.
Naiara Rodríguez-Escudero joined Linklaters in 2001 and has been directing its employment practice in Madrid since 2004. She has broad experience in providing legal advice to national and multinational companies in matters related to senior management, re-structuring processes, renegotiation of terms and conditions of employment, collective bargaining, mergers and acquisitions and incentives plans, combining her advisory role with the representation and defence of clients before the courts. Her work has been backed by Chambers’ legal directory, which has ranked her as a leading individual in the area of employment law in Spain.
With this appointment, the firm highlights its faith in the Spanish employment practice in an economic environment such as the current one, in which business reorganisations and restructuring processes abound and in which employment law advice is so important.
In relation to her appointment as Counsel, Naiara Rodríguez-Escudero has stated:
“I would very much like to show my gratitude for the trust which has been placed in me by virtue of this appointment and for the backing which said appointment represents for Linklaters employment practice in Madrid.”
Sebastián Albella, member of the management committee at Linklaters’ office in Madrid, commented:
“In the current times, our clients are demanding more than ever that we have, throughout the world, a first rate employment practice. The firm is very receptive to this demand. Naiara’s appointment demonstrates this.”
Naiara Rodríguez-Escudero’s appointment is part of a wave of new appointments: 14 new partners and a further 20 lawyers newly appointed to Counsel globally.
