Linklaters appoints new graduate recruitment partner

24 May 2010

Linklaters today announces the appointment of Mark Middleton as graduate recruitment partner, with immediate effect. Mark, a capital markets partner, steps into the role to coincide with the transfer of projects partner Matt Keats to the firm’s Moscow office. Alongside existing graduate recruitment partner Euan Clarke appointed in November 2007, Mark will be responsible for overseeing the firm’s graduate recruitment initiatives in the UK.

Simon Davies, Linklaters firmwide managing partner, said:

"I am pleased to welcome Mark to the role, alongside Euan. The graduate recruitment team plays a vital role in the firm as it is responsible for building strong relationships with leading universities and recruiting their most talented students."

Euan Clarke, Linklaters graduate recruitment partner, said:

"Mark will bring several years of experience in graduate recruitment to the role, having been a very active member of our interview panel for some time. Attracting, recruiting and keeping the right people is at the heart of what we do, so I am pleased that we will continue with having two partners jointly responsible for the role, alongside the 19-strong core partner team who contribute to our graduate recruitment strategy."

He added:

"We remain committed to graduate recruitment and continue to offer healthy numbers of vacation schemes and training contracts. It's always competitive as we are looking for top quality people, but students should be encouraged that we want to invest in our future talent - now as much as ever - and be assured that we have plenty of opportunities this year."

Mark Middleton, Linklaters graduate recruitment partner, said:

"I am thrilled to be working alongside Euan and the rest of the graduate recruitment team here at Linklaters. I have been involved in graduate recruitment at Linklaters for many years and it is something I feel passionately about. We must continue to attract the very best graduates to join us as trainees by showing that we offer an unparalleled training experience. I am looking forward to doing just that."
