, based in London, has been appointed as UK head of real estate. Both appointments take effect from 1 January 2011.
Yves Moreau, who has been a partner since 1999, has significant experience in corporate real estate, construction, project development, real estate financing and taxation and registration duties. He has been Head of the Real Estate Group in Brussels since 2007.
Recent deals he has advised on include the acquisition by Banimmo of a 42.50% stake in City Mall Invest, and the acquisition by Finasucre SA of a 25% stake in the company owning the Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert.
Anne Byrne, who has been a partner since 2001, has experience in a broad range of commercial real estate transactions. Her clients include Capital Shopping Centres, TIAA-CREF, AREA Property Partners and ProLogis and she recently acted for UBS on their new European headquarters building at Broadgate, in London.
They take over from Patrick Plant, who is stepping down as Global and UK Practice Head of Real Estate after two terms in the role. Patrick will now return to full-time client practice.
