Linklaters launches competition practice in Amsterdam

16 June 2011

Linklaters announces the launch of a competition practice in Amsterdam with the appointment of Paul Kreijger, as counsel, to head up the new practice.

Paul has joined Linklaters from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where he was a counsel specialising in EU and competition law, regulatory matters, administrative law, energy, public procurement and commercial litigation. In addition, Paul is recognised for his energy sector expertise, and so will also add strength to the firm's energy team in Amsterdam.

Gerwin van Gerven, Linklaters global head of competition, said:

"We are delighted that Paul has joined us to launch our Dutch competition practice. He will be the entry point to our global network in Amsterdam and broaden our offering for the benefit of our Dutch and international clients."

Martijn Koopal, managing partner of Linklaters' Amsterdam office, said:

"Paul’s joining and our investment in this practice underlines our continuing commitment to the development of our Dutch law capability to meet client demand."
