Linklaters Strengthens Its U.S. Corporate Practice

New York, New York, June 14, 2011 – Leading global law firm Linklaters LLP has strengthened its U.S. corporate practice with the appointment of Daniel L. Serota as counsel. Daniel joins Linklaters in New York from Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, where he served as special counsel and previously as an associate, and brings extensive experience advising clients on a wide range of mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions and corporate governance matters.
Daniel’s recent experience includes advising EchoStar Corporation on its acquisition of Hughes Communications, Barclays’ on its acquisition of Lehman Brothers’ North American investment banking and capital markets operations, Adelphia Communications in its $17.6bn sale to Time Warner Cable and Comcast Corporation, and Microsoft on its proposal to acquire Yahoo! for approximately $44.6bn.
