The MiFID review is under way.
According to the latest Commission Work Programme update, the Commission's draft MiFID II proposal is due to be released early July 2011.
If the Commission proposal is drafted along the same lines as its consultation document of December 2010, the reform could lead to an important reshaping of the financial markets, the products and services financial institutions provide and the relationship between financial institutions and their customers.
To assist clients in analysing and assessing the impact of these significant proposals for MiFID-regulated businesses, Linklaters has put together a microsite that contains a series of short notes on each of the areas up for review.
