Leading global law firm Linklaters today announces its preliminary results for the year ended 30 April 2012:
- Revenue increased by 0.6% year on year to £1,207m
- Pre-tax profit increased by 1.2% to £520.8m
Simon Davies, Linklaters managing partner, said:
“Over the last year, like many of our clients, we have continued to face volatile and challenging conditions amid wider economic strains. In spite of those conditions, and in supporting our clients, our revenues and profits have remained stable and we have maintained our financial strength and ability to invest. We have sustained revenues in the developed markets supported by strong performances in areas such as litigation, competition and regulation and we have continued to grow organically in developing markets such as Asia.
“We continue to believe that our dual strength advising on corporate and financial matters enhanced by our litigation and regulatory capability provides a unique global service to meet our clients’ needs. We have responded to their changing needs across many fronts including a sharp focus on value and cost control and extending our coverage through our recent integrated alliance with Allens in Australia.
“I would like to record my appreciation for the absolute focus of everyone in the firm to work together to deliver the highest quality support to our clients. I remain hugely proud of the outstanding quality of our people and their extraordinary commitment to our clients which gives me confidence that we will continue to serve our clients well even if economic challenges continue.”
