The US Securities and Exchange Commission has published an interpretive release on climate change-related disclosures. The disclosure requirements also affect certain foreign issuers and so will be of interest to UK companies that are SEC-registered or are undertaking certain transactions such as a public offering of securities in the US or a placing of shares with qualified institutional buyers in the US.
