On 28 May 2010 a final draft of the directive which will amend the Prospectus Directive was published.

On 1 June 2010 the Takeover Panel initiated a review of UK takeovers following widespread commentary and discussion on the regulation of takeovers for UK companies following the takeover of Cadbury plc.

The Government launched its five-year policy programme, "The Coalition: our programme for government" at a press conference on 20 May 2010.
- OFT announces market study into equity underwriting
On Thursday, 10 June 2010, the OFT announced that it intends to launch a market study into equity underwriting and associated services later this Summer.
