Our other recent deal experience in the sector (details of which we are able to disclose) includes advising:
- Amlin plc on its acquisition of Fortis Corporate Insurance N.V. (FCI) from the Dutch state;
- BNP Paribas and F&B Insurance Holdings (a vehicle co-owned by Fortis and BNP Paribas Assurance) on the acquisition by F&B Insurance Holdings of 50% plus 1 share of UBI Assicurazioni and then on the bancassurance arrangements relating to the distribution of UBI Assicurazioni’s non-life insurance products through UBI Banca's Italian network of banks;
- AEGON N.V. on the sale of its Taiwan life insurance business to a holding company established and funded by a consortium led by the Chairman of Meifu Development and the President of Taiwan Glass Industry.
