Linklaters' London office and its clients have been right at the heart of the market turmoil over the last year. Our people at all levels have also felt the impact through a redundancy programme. It has been a difficult year but we have tried to meet those challenges responsibly as this section of our website explains.

- 24,000 hours spent on volunteering in 2008/9 of which just over 15,000 hours were spent giving pro bono legal advice
- 132 community organisations supported including 7 legal advice centres, 8 social enterprises and 46 schools
- Linklaters programmes in London directly benefited 3,349 individuals including 2,700 young people and a further 542 who received pro bono legal advice
- Paper consumption down from 197,000 reams in 2006/2007 to 91,000 reams in 2008/2000
- Waste sent to landfill down by 29% since 2006/2007
