CR progress in London 

Linklaters' London office and its clients have been right at the heart of the market turmoil over the last year. Our people at all levels have also felt the impact through a redundancy programme. It has been a difficult year but we have tried to meet those challenges responsibly as this section of our website explains.

Regional Highlights

  • 41% of London people volunteered during 2008/9
  • 24,000 hours spent on volunteering in 2008/9 of which just over 15,000 hours were spent giving pro bono legal advice
  • 132 community organisations supported including 7 legal advice centres, 8 social enterprises and 46 schools
  • Linklaters programmes in London directly benefited 3,349 individuals including 2,700 young people and a further 542 who received pro bono legal advice
  • Paper consumption down from 197,000 reams in 2006/2007 to 91,000 reams in 2008/2000
  • Waste sent to landfill down by 29% since 2006/2007
