08 HumanRights is an organisation that uses basketball as a tool for social development for young people, offering them the opportunity to meet with sporting professionals, attend seminars and play basketball. We have several activities planned with 08HR and will mentor teams within the organisation in a joint effort to inspire its young people. The different teams within 08 start each season by writing a contract on how they should view basketball practice, friends in their team and how to behave both when practicing and outside the court. We have been involved with preparing the contracts and join in with both practice and games during the season amongst other activities. Our hope is to become a link with the children and society and therefore to help guide them in other decisions such as continued study etc.
