Community Investment, New York, Ashoka

Ashoka was founded in 1980 by Bill Drayton on the premise that critical societal issues could be addressed by empowering "social entrepreneurs."  Each year Ashoka awards Fellowships to individuals who have plans for changing the world in critical ways to meet the needs of society.  Linklaters supports Ashoka on two levels.  At the organizational level, Linklaters attorneys provide direct support to Ashoka's Law for All initiative through the preparation and anticipated implementation of a training program to educate Ashoka staff members on how to identify and assess the legal needs of its Fellows' program.  We are a participant in Ashoka’s Advocates for Social Entrepreneurs program and can be matched with Ashoka fellows to provide pro bono legal advice.
