Emphasis is placed on the benefits to be gained by the school and industry working together. The students recognise the value of their education to achieve their future careers and volunteers from industry can help to ensure that the teaching the pupils receive is relevant to the needs of modern employers. There is a real effort made to ensure the hobbies and interests of the students match with their assigned mentor. Mentoring can be face to face or via email, or a combination of the two
