The Singapore office supports Jamiyah Singapore, which is an organisation focusing on four main areas: homes (children’s orphanages, halfway and nursing homes), education (schooling assistance for kindergarten, childcare, student and business centres), welfare (food rations, counselling and clinics) and missionary (training and courses). We have sponsored “Project Lend-a-Hand” which helps up to 52 children from various schools who are financially challenged but still have the will to study. This support allows the children to be tutored and prepare for their Primary School Leaving Examinations (PSLEs). In Singapore there is a need to support those from “cradle to the grave”, not only in the Muslim community, but in the wider area in which Jamiyah plays an important role.
