As part of Paris Europlace, which promotes Paris as a financial centre, our lawyers participate in groups reviewing the legislative and market environment. Gilles Endréo chaired the group on preference shares. This resulted in amendments to the law to facilitate preference share issues, a possibility used by a number of banks needing to recapitalise themselves due to the financial crisis.
