     Examples of recent deals include advising:

  • Johnson & Johnson on its US$21.3bn acquisition of Synthes Inc., a premier global supplier of orthopaedic devices;
  • Wellpoint on the acquisition of CareMore Health Group, Inc;
  • Actavis Group and a consortia of stakeholders on the sale of privately owned Actavis to Watson Pharmaceuticals, Inc. for approximately €4.25bn;
  • Southern Cross committee of landlords, on the restructuring of Southern Cross care home assets;

  • Sanofi on its JV with Merial and Intervet/Schering-Plough (ISP), the animal health business of Schering-Plough;

  • Fresenius Medical Care on the establishment of a strategic joint venture with Galenica Ltd. and their subsidiary Vifor Pharma;
  • Zydus Cadila (a top five pharmaceutical company in India) in the negotiation of a supply agreement with Abbott Laboratories;
  • Apax, Nordic Capital and Capio on the vast majority of Capio’s material transactions around Europe including: the sale of Capio UK and the international aspects, financing and refinancing of the P2P of Unilabs;
  • UBS on the Pharmastandard IPO, the first IPO for a Russian pharmaceutical company;
  • Fortis on the acquisition of Quality HealthCare Asia Limited.
