eHealth

Major changes are afoot in the way healthcare is delivered around the world. Technology is going to play an increasingly important role.

eHealth is a major growth area and one in which many of our clients are investing heavily. We are committed to helping them meet the legal and regulatory challenges they face.

Our eHealth initiative builds on the expertise and experience we have developed over many years of working with the world’s leading healthcare/pharmaceutical, telecoms and IT companies. It brings together relevant experts from our international network of offices, our many specialist practice areas, and our key sector teams, to provide a single, seamless service to our clients.

In addition to continuing our dialogue with our clients, we have reached out to key stakeholders in the public and private sector to discuss the problems they face and help find solutions. They include the World Health Organisation (WHO), the World Bank and the Rockefeller Foundation.

One of the projects that resulted from these discussions is a mandate from the Rockefeller Foundation to prepare, with the International Society for Telemedicine & eHealth (ISFTeH), a feasibility study on the creation of a new international Convention governing key aspects of eHealth. We submitted our report in late 2009.

If you have any particular questions, or would like to discuss any eHealth-related issue with us, please contact any of the members of our eHealth team.
