Akihiro has over 30 years experience in the capital markets arena and is widely renowned as an expert in the traditional banking sector. He has been a professor at Sophia University Law School since 2004 and a part-time professor at Hitotsubashi University since 2001. He has written and lectured on various legal issues relating to international capital markets. He also acts as counsel for the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) in Japan and is a member of the Financial Law Board sponsored by the Bank of Japan and the Financial System Council of the Financial Services Agency.
