Arun is a US qualified lawyer, with a focus on capital markets and corporate transactions. He has been active in the Indian market for several years and has worked on many of the largest and most high profile securities offerings by Indian companies. Recent transactions of significance where substantial involvement can be disclosed include:
- the US$700 million AIM listing by Unitech Parks plc, the largest AIM fund raising backed by investment assets in India;
- two of the largest IPOs in Indian history: DLF Limited (US$2.2bn) and Cairn India Limited (US$1.9bn);
- the IPO of Tech Mahindra Limited; and
- the IPO of Akruti Nirman Limited.
Arun also provides general advice on securities law matters for leading investment banks such as Deutsche Bank, J.P. Morgan, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, and UBS.
Prior to joining Linklaters, Arun worked for eight years at Cravath, Swaine & Moore, where he acted on the securities offerings of Tata Consultancy Services, National Thermal Power Corporation, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, Indian Petrochemicals Corporation, Infrastructure Development Finance Company, Punjab National Bank and Sun TV, among others, in addition to a wide range of non-India capital markets, banking and merger and acquisition transactions.
