Experience
Yash represents a wide range of UK and international clients and much of his work is cross-border. He advises on a broad range of transactions including mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganisations, capital markets transactions and tax planning. He has a particular interest in structured finance transactions and in the development of new financial products and structures. He also advises extensively on tax disputes and tax litigation.
He is listed in Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession and many other professional directories.
As Global Head of Tax, Yash leads a team of around 160 lawyers advising on a broad spectrum of tax issues across a range of jurisdictions.
Professional experience
Yash Rupal joined Linklaters in 1986 as an articled clerk. He qualified as a solicitor in 1988. He became a partner in 1996 and was appointed as Global Head of Tax in 2008. During his career, he has spent two years working in the New York office of Linklaters and has spent 18 months working at a leading investment bank.
