In the field of Arbitration
- Advising TP SA in relation to the enforcement of an international arbitration tribunal award in Poland in a dispute with a Dutch company DPTG, over the calculation of the remuneration due to DPTG in relation to building the North-South Line fiber optical telecommunications system in Poland; the value of claim is DKK 2.4bn
- Acting for the Minister of the Polish State Treasury in arbitration proceedings under UNCITRAL rules relating to a multi-party dispute between Vivendi S.A., Vivendi Telecom International, Deutsche Telekom AG, Elektrim S.A., Elektrim's bondholders, Zygmunt Solorz-Żak and our client (for ca. EUR 2.5bn), involving shareholding rights in the leading Polish telecoms firm, Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa (PTC), operator of the Era mobile network; the value of claim is EUR 2.5bn
- a leading telecommunications provider in international arbitration proceedings in relation to contractual claims arising as a result of a service supply arrangement
In the field of Litigation
- Advising MasterCard in relation to various proceedings initiated by the Polish competition authorities against MasterCard, Visa and a number of Polish banks over alleged irregularities in the process of setting interchange fees for payment card settlements
- Advising a leading Polish bank in relation to claims for damages brought by a number of individuals for alleged client negligence
- Representing NCC, a Scandinavian construction group, in arbitration proceedings concerning the alleged unfounded enforcement of performance during construction of the Berlin-Warsaw A2 motorway in Poland
- Acting on behalf of BGŻ, a major Polish bank, in relation to a multi-million euro claim against Towarzystwo Leasingu i Finansów CLIF S.A. (Clif) under a number of credit facilities extended to Clif and terminated by the bank due to defaults by the latter
- Advising a subsidiary of Millennium Bank in relation to a dispute concerning the recognition of legal acts as being ineffective (actio pauliana), with the range of the claim being circa PLN 160m
- Advising Cap Gemini Polska in a dispute lodged by the bankruptcy receiver of Pamotex SA, once a major Polish textile producer, over alleged professional negligence in preparing a report forecasting the development of certain segments of the Polish and selected foreign textile product markets
