Poppy is a corporate M&A lawyer with experience acting for a variety of corporate clients on complex cross-border transactions. Poppy has worked on a range of high-profile corporate deals, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, equities transactions and general corporate advisory.

  • Atalaya Mining PLC: advising on the step-up of a Spanish mining company from an AIM listing to a listing on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange.
  • Barratt Developments plc: advising the largest residential property developer in the UK on its recommended all-share offer for Redrow plc.
  • Unilever PLC: advising on: (i) the €4.5bn sale of Unilever's tea business to CVC Capital Partners; and (ii) the €6.8bn disposal of Unilever's baking, cooking and spreads business to KKR.
  • Sanofi: advising on the sale of Sanofi's 52.87% stake in its listed subsidiary in Pakistan to a consortium led by the second largest shareholder.
  • A global consulting firm: advising on the MBO of a global firm’s project management and engineering consultancy business in Eastern Europe.
  • A UK neobank and financial technology company: advising a leading UK fintech company on a complex renegotiation of its share terms and related regulatory application.
  • Vodafone Group: advising on the formation of a joint venture in Greece in respect of tower infrastructure assets.

Education and qualifications

Poppy holds a degree in Modern Languages (French and Spanish) from the University of Cambridge. She studied for her Graduate Diploma in Law at the University of Law in London.
