We recognise that we can reduce our environmental impacts further by increasing efficiencies across our IT estate. In addition to our software, which automatically powers up and down our PCs, we have been running a programme to reduce the impacts of our data centres.
This programme has given us a 63% reduction in physical servers, resulted in a reduction of energy consumption in our data centres and has avoided 2,110 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.
