Community Investment, Asia, Half the Sky
Half the Sky runs programmes in orphanages throughout China, providing individual nurture and stimulation for babies, personalised learning opportunities for older children and loving permanent foster homes for children whose special needs will keep them from being adopted. Since 2007, Linklaters in Hong Kong has been a sponsor of one of Half the Sky's nurture programmes and its family foster village at an orphanage in Wuzhou, Guangxi province, China. Each year, different groups of Linklaters' employees visit the Family Centre and meet with foster families and staff, as well as deliver toys and books donated by members of the office.
