Community Investment strategy

We focus our community investment where we have the most to offer. We have two key themes:

Learn for Work

We want to raise the skills, aspirations and experience of young people who live in the vicinity of our offices. We now partner with over 70 schools and 10,000 young people in 18 countries. We pool our learning and consult external experts to develop programmes that are innovative and engaging for students, teachers and our people. Visits to our offices inspire and motivate, and targeted internships, mentoring and a host of skills development activities seek to raise aspirations and realise true social mobility in some of our more disadvantaged communities.

Venture Catalysts

Just as we offer the best advice to our clients, we want to offer the best to our not-for-profit partners, through sophisticated legal expertise or broader business skills. We grow the capabilities of these organisations so that they are better able to serve the needs of their clients and seize opportunities. Our Venture Catalysts work ranges from business mentoring for local social entrepreneurs to pro bono advice helping not-for-profits to grow their operations. As well as supporting organisations close to our offices, we also tackle global challenges that apply our cross-border expertise. Last year, we provided business expertise and pro bono legal advice to over 180 social enterprises in 18 countries.
