Fundraising events so far

The response to Tom’s Trust to date has been overwhelming. We have now passed our initial target of £1,000,000. The donations have been used to support a large number of very worthwhile projects. The Trustees would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all the Trust’s supporters and donors.

Large sums have been donated in relation to some fantastic fundraising events which have generously been organised by people whose lives were touched by Tom or his story. So far, the events have included, to name just some:

  • London marathon
  • Concert
  • Swimathon
  • Cricket match
  • Auction
  • Sponsored cycle ride from London to Cannes – 2 years running
  • Sponsored picnic at Claremonth Fan Court School
  • Herefordshire 10k (Hertfordshire Trainee Solicitor Group)
  • Some sponsored “dress down” days
  • Various dinners and other social events
  • Cycle ride from London to Weybridge
  • Three Peaks Challenge: A team of 16 lawyers climbed the three highest peaks in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Snowdon) in 24 hours
  • Capital Ring Walk: A walk of 75 miles around London, completed over three months

A huge thanks to everyone who has organised or participated in these events. Occasions like these provide tremendous assistance in furthering the objectives of Tom’s Trust and mean that his legacy will not be forgotten.
