Nick is an Associate in Linklaters’ Capital Markets Practice. Nick has experience advising clients on a variety of cross-border finance transactions, including debt and equity offerings, structured products, and digital asset/fintech matters. Nick is fluent in Portuguese and proficient in Cabo Verdean Kriolu.

Professional experience

Nick previously served as a Summer Associate at Linklaters in 2020, where he focused his work on matters for the Latin American and Finance practice areas. Before Linklaters, Nick served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Chief Judge Robert J. Shelby at the Federal District Court for the District of Utah. Nick previously worked as an intern at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Lisbon, Portugal and the Government Relations team at Adobe in Washington D.C.

Education and qualifications

Nick holds a J.D. from The George Washington University Law school. In 2018, Nick graduated from Brigham Young University, where he double majored in Political Science and Portuguese Studies.

Nick’s work, “A New Model for Curbing Corruption in Haiti: How a Distant Relative Across the Sea Provides a Potential Template for Combating Venal Corruption in Haiti” was published in the George Washington University Law School Public Contract Law Journal in March 2021.
