Laura Vervier

Laura has been part of the Real Estate Practice Group in Brussels since 2019. She has experience in real estate law, more specifically in public and administrative law, contract law and litigation. She is involved in real estate transactions and advises both Belgian and international clients.

Work Highlights

Laura has advised on a wide range of real estate transactions. These include advising:

• Equilis on the sale of various subsidiaries owning retail parks and mixed retail/residential developments in Wallonia.
  
• Integrale in relation with the sale of all its shares in 3 companies owning the property rights or the rights in rem regarding 5 nursing and care homes. In addition, Integrale disposed of the company owning the rights in rem regarding the office building 'Bruxelles Environnement/Leef-milieu Brussel’.
• BESIX RED with the sale of Evenepoel Properties, owner of a plot of land in Schaerbeek and the conclusion of a development agreement with Patrizia for the construction of a property of 17.500m² of housing and retail.
• Cofinimmo on the contribution of Cofinimmo’s branch of activities encompassing all its office assets.
• Intermarché on the acquisition of a Belgian retail group, subsidiary of the Carrefour Group.
• Cofinimmo on the acquisition of 5 companies each owning a retirement home partially by a contribution in a REIC and a share deal - lease back by way of a long term lease.

Laura studied law at the Université de Liège and at the Universiteit Gent within the framework of the Erasmus Belgica Programme. She holds a LL.M degree from Lucy Cavendish College, University of Cambridge.
