Overview

Patrick McCann is the firm’s Director of Learning and responsible for the articulation and implementation of the firm’s learning and development strategy, managing a team of over 30. He has been involved in adult education since 1995 and specialises in the design and delivery of business skills development programmes for colleagues and clients of the firm. His areas of particular interest include compliance, negotiations, people matters, leadership, commercial understanding, communication skills and decision-making. He has delivered interactive, progressive, practical and applicable sessions to over 2,000 people during his career.  

Patrick has coached over 20 law firm colleagues, including through promotion processes and mentored another 20 into and through professional service firm careers. At his previous firm, he was HR lead for the global partner promotion process.

Patrick is Chair of the City of London Law Society Training Committee.

Education and qualifications

Patrick studied law at King's College London. He holds a Diploma in German Law from Universität Passau in Germany and completed his law society finals at the College of Law.
