Overview

Ariti is a managing associate in our global Antitrust & Foreign Investment practice, based in Brussels.

Ariti has extensive experience in multinational transactions. She regularly acts on behalf of international corporations and banks in merger review proceedings before the European Commission and competition authorities around the world. She has handled involved in “Phase II” cases and deals requiring complex remedy measures. In addition, Ariti represents clients in cartel and abuse of dominance investigations and counsels on antitrust compliance issues.

Ariti provides strategic advice to clients in diverse industry sectors such as healthcare, energy, financial services, industrials, chemicals and private equity.

  • Novartis on the acquisition of GSK’s global oncology portfolio and the sale of its influenza vaccines business to CSL
  • Covestro on its acquisition of the sustainable coating resins business from DSM
  • ExxonMobil and ENI on the establishment of a joint venture in the field of LNG liquefaction
  • PricewaterhouseCoopers on the sale of its global mobility business to Clayton, Dubilier & Rice
  • Vodafone on the contribution of its tower infrastructure assets in Greece with those of Wind into a newly formed joint venture entity
  • A major multi-national healthcare company on its complaint against a large-scale merger before the European Commission
  • Sherwin-Williams on its acquisition of Valspar Corporation
  • NKT Cables on its acquisition of ABB’s high voltage cables business
  • Trelleborg on its acquisition of CGS Holding, a company active in the manufacture of agriculture and industrial tires

Professional experience

Ariti joined Linklaters in 2013. Prior to joining Linklaters, she worked in an international law firm in Brussels and interned at the European Commission.

Between 2014 and 2015, Ariti was seconded to the firm’s office in New York.

Education and qualifications

Ariti studied law at the University of Athens, Greece. She holds a master’s in competition law from King’s College London, United Kingdom, and a master’s in public procurement law from the University of Heidelberg, Germany. Ariti obtained her undergraduate degree in Law from the University of Athens, Greece.

She speaks English, German and Greek.
