Overview
Sayako specialises in the areas of investment funds, regulatory advice and real estate transactions. She regularly advises fund managers, fund service providers, investors and financial institutions on cross-border fund structuring, fund management and the related operational matters, real estate investments/divestments, refinancing, as well as other various regulatory matters.
Sayako is actively engaged in ESG. She often discusses ESG integration in the investment process with Japanese fund managers, and she advises on the most suitable ways to comply with EU sustainable finance-related regulations, such as SFDR and the Taxonomy Regulation.
Education and qualifications
Sayako studied law at the University of Tokyo and received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Tokyo School of Law.
