Overview

Somin’s recent matters include:

  • Defending a global mining company in a Delaware appraisal litigation following a major acquisition in the United States
  • Representing a Chilean company in an ICC arbitration in relation to an EPC Contract for a power plant in Chile
  • Advising a global offshore wind developer on its joint venture in the United States 
 

Professional experience

Somin worked in finance and energy before starting law school.

She is an active member of Korean American Lawyers Association of Greater New York. 

Education and qualifications

Somin holds a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center, where she was a Global Law Scholar and a Legal Research and Writing Law Fellow.  She obtained her undergraduate degrees, magna cum laude, in English and History from the Georgetown University. 

Somin is fluent in Korean.
