Overview

Thomas is a competition lawyer at the Brussels bar and advises clients on all aspects of EU and Belgian competition law, including merger control, abuse of dominance, cartel practices, State aid, and compliance issues. He works in a variety of sectors, including media, telecom, consumer goods, and technology. Most of Thomas’ practice involves global companies conducting business in multiple jurisdictions.

Besides competition law, Thomas also regularly advises clients on general EU law, including free movement law.

Professional experience

Thomas has been an Associate in the Competition Practice Group and a member of the Brussels bar since 2017.

Thomas is currently also a part-time doctoral researcher at the University of Oxford. Previously he was a teaching assistant at the University of Leuven’s Institute for European Law.

Education and qualifications

Thomas holds a Magister Juris (“LL.M”) from the University of Oxford and a Master of Laws from the University of Leuven. He graduated first in class at both Oxford and Leuven.

Thomas assists clients in English, Dutch and French.
