Linklaters appoints Scott Campbell as UAE head

Linklaters has appointed Scott Campbell as managing partner for the UAE, for a four-year term with immediate effect.  He succeeds Sarosh Mewawalla, who has returned to full-time client work.

With more than 14 years of experience in the Middle East, Scott Campbell is recognised as one of the region’s leading corporate lawyers.  He has been based in Linklaters’ Dubai office since it was launched in 2006 and is the firm’s head of corporate for the Middle East.

Recent deals that Scott has advised on include advising Bahrain Telecommunications Company on its $1.025bn acquisition of Monaco and Islands assets of Cable & Wireless Communications and Emaar Properties on the IPO of Emaar Malls.

Linklaters has advised clients in the Middle East for more than 30 years and is acknowledged as a market leader for corporate / M&A, energy and infrastructure, project finance, capital markets, banking, real estate, funds and Islamic finance transactions. The firm opened an office in Dubai in 2006, followed by another office in Abu Dhabi in 2011.
