Linklaters’ apprentice programme awarded at the UK Legal Diversity Awards

Linklaters has been recognised at the UK Legal Diversity Awards for the firm’s apprentice programme, in the 'Progressing Talent' category.

The awards, held on Tuesday 24 November at the Grange Tower Bridge Hotel, promote and recognise those working across the legal profession who are making practical and significant contributions in the areas of equality, diversity and fair access.

Zeinab Badawi presented the awards on the night and announced Linklaters as winners of the progressing talent category, acknowledging that it was refreshing to hear about initiatives within Business Services.

On the night, Paulette Mastin, Counsel and co-chair of Linklaters' BAME Network, was also recognised for her work as chair of the Black Solicitors Network (BSN) City Group, which this year celebrated its twentieth anniversary.

The awards closely followed the launch of the BSN Diversity League Table, widely considered to be the legal profession's leading diversity initiative and publication. In this table Linklaters was ranked:

  • 1st in the Top 10 City firms ranking
  • 1st in Policy and Practice
