Michael Voisin elected to the FIA board at annual meeting

Michael Voisin, Global Head of Capital Markets at Linklaters, has been elected as director to the board of the Futures Industry Association (FIA) at its annual meeting.

FIA is the leading global trade organization for the futures, options and centrally cleared derivatives markets, with members including clearing firms, exchanges, clearinghouses, trading firms and commodities specialists from more than 48 countries as well as technology vendors, lawyers and other professionals serving the industry. FIA’s mission is to support open, transparent and competitive markets, protect and enhance the integrity of the financial system, and promote high standards of professional conduct.

Linklaters has most recently collaborated with the FIA (and Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy) in the development of the CCP Risk Review, which provides a standardized, comprehensive overview and analysis of the rules and procedures governing certain CCPs, as well as timely updates on changes to the rules and regulatory framework. It also highlights the issues most relevant to clearing members and end-users as they evaluate evolving regulatory obligations relating to CCPs on a real-time basis.

Michael Voisin, says: “I am delighted and honored to take up my role at FIA. I have developed a strong relationship with the FIA through my role on the development of the CCP Risk Review and look forward to making a broader contribution across FIA’s full range of activities.”
