Linklaters strengthens Asia capital markets practice with leading Southeast Asia and India election
Linklaters is pleased to announce the election of Amit Singh as partner in its Asia capital markets practice. He is recognised as one of the most high-profile international lawyers operating across a broad cross-section of capital markets products in South and Southeast Asia, including India. He has acted on the substantial majority of Indian DCM transactions in recent years as well as some headline ECM deals. He is also active across Southeast Asia, including in key markets such as Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines and Sri Lanka.
Amit joins Linklaters from Allen & Overy Hong Kong where he was partner. At Linklaters he will continue to focus on South and South East Asia and India, where he will work with the broader India practice led by Narayan Iyer. Amit will also work closely with our regional capital markets practice to support clients across the Southeast Asia region.
William Liu, Head of Linklaters’ Asia capital markets practice, commented:
“Amit’s hire emphasises our commitment to achieving a market-leading position across all key markets in Asia. His stature as a leading practitioner in Southeast Asia and India will create new synergies with our Southeast Asia and broader India practice, as well as our leading capital markets practices across the region.”
Amit will be based in the firm’s Singapore office alongside capital markets partners Hyung Ahn and Jonathan Horan, offering an unparalleled spectrum of US and English law capability across key equity and debt markets products such as high-yield bonds, MTNs and IPOs.
