Overview

Bart joined the Luxembourg capital markets and banking department of Linklaters in 2009 and was promoted to managing associate in 2015. Further to his six-month secondment in 2014 to the firm's headquarters in London, Bart has also become an integral and senior member of the London-lead asset finance practice and the relevant transactions are regularly staffed on a cross-office basis.

Bart advises clients, including banks, sponsors, corporates, alternative credit providers and insurance companies, on all types of loan structures, debt issues and regulatory matters. His expertise spans in particular leveraged finance, asset finance (aviation and shipping), real estate, securitisation and fiduciary structures as well as all types of debt securities issues, including prospectus, transparency and market abuse related matters, including in each case, where necessary, the consensual or non-consensual restructuring of the relevant transaction.

Bart has also gained extensive experience in restructuring and insolvency matters, including both the consensual and non-consensual enforcement of security interests.

Education and qualifications

Bart holds a Master I in Business Law from the Faculty of Law in Montpellier (France) as well as a Master II In European Banking & Financial Law from the University of Luxembourg.
