Carsten has specialised experience in real estate transactions and real estate private equity. He has been involved in a number of high-profile transactions with a total volume of several billion Euros. His experience includes asset- and share deal transactions in all asset classes including offices and retail. He recently advised on some of the largest cross-border transactions in the logistics market.

Carsten has advised:

  • Aermont on the sale of the Marienforum in Frankfurt to Generali 
  • AFIAA on the acquisition of Kaisergalerie Hamburg
  • Axa Investment Managers on the acquisition of office buildings in Germany for their international funds
  • Blackstone on the acquisition of five cross-border logistics portfolios in Germany and on the sale of the logistics platform Logicor with a value of over €12bn   
  • LaSalle Investment Management on the acquisition of ElseBella real estate portfolio in Munich 
  • LBBW Real Estate Capital on the acquisition of an office real estate portfolio with 10 office properties in Munich 
  • Motel One on the sale of 10 hotels to the French Foncière des Régions group by way of share deal 
  • Savills on the sale of the office portfolio Max & Merle and on the acquisition of a large office complex in Munich
  • Swiss Life and BVK on the acquisition of OSKAR in Munich
  • Tishman Speyer on the sale of the property "Elisenhof" in Munich 
  • WealthCap on the acquisition of Brain Lab's headquarters around of the former airport tower in Munich Riem by way of a forward-purchase-deal
