Education and qualifications


Diogo joined Linklaters Luxembourg capital markets and banking group in September 2017

He has several years of experience gained both in Portugal and Luxembourg working in major national and international law firms. His practice includes M&A, private equity transactions and privatisations and is currently focused on advising clients as to a variety of financial regulatory matters extending from Solvency II to CRD, MiFID II and BRRD. 

Diogo is also involved in, and has gained valuable expertise in, assisting clients on several capital markets and financing cross-border deals including different types of financing structures with a focus on securitisation, where he has acted for originators, arrangers and investors. 

Diogo’s practice also entails advising on complex international restructuring and insolvency matters, assisting multinational corporate groups in the context of pre-insolvency corporate, financing and security restructuring and in the context of enforcement of security interests.

Diogo was also a teaching assistant at the Portuguese Catholic University’s Law School of Lisbon between 2011 and 2014 and has authored and co-authored articles in the fields of corporate and insurance law.

Education and qualifications

Diogo holds a law degree and a master’s degree from the Portuguese Catholic University’s Law School of Lisbon.

Diogo is fluent in Portuguese, English, French and Spanish

Diogo is admitted to the Portuguese bar (as from 2014) and to the Luxembourg bar (as from 2016).
