Experience

Experience in high-value complex lawyer/surveyor’s professional negligence claims, insolvency disputes, general contractual disputes and regulatory investigations. Property litigation including vacant possession strategies, dilapidation claims, arrears, landlord’s covenants, rent review issues, nuisance and possession proceedings. Emergency injunctions against protestors. Experience of High Court (including TCC), Court of Appeal, County Court, arbitration and mediation forums.

Member of the Property Litigation Association. Assists with editing Butterworths’ Business Landlord and Tenant handbook. Several articles published in Estates Gazette.  Involved with mentoring and diversity initiatives.

Recent cases include:

  • high profile insolvency matters such as the Lehmans administration, including untested areas, setting precedents in the Courts.
  • acting for Lend Lease on High Court and Court of Appeal wins in a multi-million pound dispute over an option to purchase a stake in the Bluewater Shopping Centre
  • obtaining injunctions against protestors infringing our clients, interests, including noise disturbance, harassment and trespass.
