Overview

Jorge is a competition lawyer registered at the Madrid and Brussels Bars. His practice covers all aspects of EU competition law, including antitrust investigations with a particular focus on unilateral conduct, merger control and antitrust compliance issues. 

Besides competition law, Jorge also has experience in proceedings dealing with EU law before the EU Courts. 

Professional experience

Jorge joined Linklaters in 2018. Before joining Linklaters, Jorge worked as a research fellow at the Liège Competition and Innovation Institute (LCII). He also completed traineeships at the European Commission (DG COMP) and at an international law firm in Brussels.

Jorge is currently also a guest lecturer at EDHEC Business School in France, where he teaches a course on EU competition law.

Education and qualifications

Jorge holds a PhD in Law from the University of Liège. During his PhD studies, Jorge was a visiting scholar at Georgetown University Law School under the sponsorship of the ABA Section of Antitrust Law. 

Jorge also holds a Master of Laws from CEU San Pablo University, Madrid and an LLM from the University of Liège. 

Jorge speaks Spanish, English and French.
